Bitcoin, Is the Faucet Running Dry?

Over the last year or so the latest online currency to take the world by storm has been Bitcoin. Not only has the company developed what seemingly is a strategy to ensure it's longevity but the number of users they have attracted to the Bitcoin interface has been substantial.

For instance if you take a look at the official Bitcoin Forum, you will notice that there are usually over 1000 people online at any given time. A look at the unofficial Bitcoin forum will reveal that a large number of people can also be found there.

Can the currency survive with the US Government after them? It seems like they quite possibly could. Bitcoin is not located at any one place, and can quickly move servers if need be. Sure there will be skeptics and issues along the way, but it is actually possible for this thing to grow quite large in the coming months.

Lockerz 0 PTZ Problem

There have been a ton of concern the last 24 hours about the database over at Lockerz. Not only were people panicking thinking that they lost all the PTZ that they had earned, but they were also spreading the panic via tweets and at forums throughout the internet.

Yesterday at around 2pm EST a database error made all PTZ total in Lockerz reset to 0. Soon after, the Guys at LockerzForum released a statement letting everyone know it's a widespread outage and that accounts are not being punished, in a post the Lockerz 0 PTZ Problem. Anyway, soon after this post was made by the Forum admin "Lockerz1" Kathy from the company came out and made a quick statement saying the following:

Your PTZ and friends are not lost! It's a display bug, and we are working on it. Everything is safe in the system:-)

That quickly stopped the panic. It just goes to show though how a simple database glitch can cause a mass panic throughout the internet from Facebook to Twitter to emails, to forums. Luckily the rumors of mass account penalties were quickly squashed.

How to Get Lockerz Invites

I just wanted to write a short piece on a few methods that can be used to obtain invites for Lockerz.

#1 Find friends and family online, on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc and send them a quick invite. Once invited, friends and family are 98% more likely to sign up than people you invite that don't personally know you.

#2 Join the Lockerz Forum and Become a VIP member for $4.99. The Lockerz Forum is filled with over 5,000 Lockerz users. Here you can get advice from the experts, and also as a VIP member gain access to the private sections where some of the top Lockerz inviters post advice and tips. Many members at the forum have over 3000 PTZ.

#3 Create a site or blog dedicated to the program. There are lots of Lockerz sites out there, but there are also close to a million members out there as well. If you can have your site rank fairly high in Google than you will likely get traffic. At your site be sure to offer an invite via email for those who want one.

All in all, if you are dedicated to the program, try to think up unique methods. It's those people who stray from the pack who end up having the most success in these affiliate programs.

Lockerz Launch Date?

I have been receiving a ton of questions the last few days asking if I had any information on the official launch date of lockers.

Thus far we have been given a wide variety of official responses from the hard working crew at the headquarters. Initially we were told launch out of Beta mode would be on November 15th of this year. Later on though, as recently as last week we have heard that launch will likely be near the end of November. Either way though, we will have the Lockerz site officially launched very soon.

Upon launch we should see st least 3-4 new ways to earn those prized lockerz PTZ. By the end of the year however I am looking for 9 new ways to earn. Some of these earning methods will be shopping, donating to charity, watching videos, playing games, and just chatting with other members of the community. If anyone is having any Lockerz Problems, please post them at the forum and other members will likely be there to help you.

Lockerz Hallway is Official

I have another quick update for you Lockerz fans out there. Today Lockerz has announced that the place for all official news will be at the Hallway. For you who do not know what the Lockerz hallway is, it is simply the main page you goto after logging into your account. Here is a the brief message Kathy Posted on the Facebook page:

UPDATE: Starting today, you'll find your most up-to-date info on your Hallway on Lockerz. There have been too many posers with false info here. Don't worry--we'll continue to post on FB and on Twitter but please check your Hallway for the latest and greatest news.

This means that some of the news may in fact be passed over on on their Facebook account and even not be posted in the famous Lockerz Forum. Anyhow, this is for the best as now people can not complain about how fair a news issue was since it was posted at one place before the others. If you want news on this program than simply be smart and go right to the source at Lockerz.com. More news to come. I am going to try updating this blog a bit more since we are bringing in quite a lot of web traffic in the last few weeks.

Lockerz Down

There has been an increase in reports of Lockerz being down as of late. It seems as though the servers simply can not handle the huge influx of traffic that the Lockerz site is currently being inundated with. This is a good thing in a way for Lockerz, however, they probably should have prepared their server setup for this to start with.

Having said this, I have been a part of several internet startups getting off the ground, and it is not always easy to allocate the correct amount of bandwidth to a site without overspending. I am sure the people behind the scenes will use this as a learning experience and prepare better for the next wave of traffic that shall be coming during launch day October 15th.

There is a special thread at Moneymakergroup about Lockerz being down which supposedly is updated during each downtime they encounter.

This Blog as well as the Facebook page and twitter are great places to look for updates on the program as well as downtimes they may have both today and in the future.

Lockerz Teams with Ruffian

Just got news as well as an exclusive video from the Lockerz team showing that Lockerz is the real deal. The company actually sponsored and hosted a fashion show, where they also signed a contract with the Fashion company Ruffian. Ruffian will provide a special scarf to Lockerz as part of the agreement. A total of 50 of these limited scarves will be rewarded to Lockerz members for their PRZ.

Below is a video from the fashion show. More details will be posted on any other agreements that this company may announce in the coming future before the launch of the incentive based website known as Lockerz.com:
